Indonesia is the earliest country in developing countries to establish a satellite communications system. Since 1976, the “unified” A1 and A2 were launched in 1977 and the “unified B1” satellite was launched in 1983, satellite communications in Indonesia and even Southeast Asia have seen rapid development. While Indonesia continued to expand its satellite communications business, in February 1984, the “unified B2” satellite launched by the space shuttle failed to enter the geostationary orbit. The Star was later paid by Lloyd’s Insurance Company for $ 75 million in insurance in Indonesia, $ 5.5 million in space shuttle charges to NASA, and $ 5 million in rescue equipment for Hughes
