The study adopts a combination of online observation and in-depth interview to conduct discourse analysis. The study found that the incident itself has become an outlet for social anxiety. In the dissemination and acceptance of events, a considerable part of the network speakers or respondents have positioned themselves as marginal groups or disadvantaged groups in society, even though they themselves In the real world, they do not belong to the recognized “vulnerable groups”, but they still show quite widespread social insecurity. There is no multi-directional and unimpeded access to the mainstream media for social groups’ anxiety and insecurity, and network sporadic events have become one of the exits for social sentiment. However, the mixed and out-of-media environment is more “sensationalized” Tend to provide soil. The sensational dissemination process of the “Five Bar Adolescents” incident provides a perspective for us to see the status quo and social mentality of current dissemination in China.
