December 1, 2015, Japan’s annual “New Language - Catchwords Award” selection, “buy burst” come out on top. The organizers said in their recommendations that out of the total number of foreign tourists coming to Japan for the past year, the average spending by Chinese tourists exceeded 170,000 yen, ranking the top among tourists in various countries. Because of the enthusiasm of Chinese tourists “buying, buying, buying ”, the word “Buying Bui” has become the catchword of Japanese new language in 2015.
