手性是自然界的基本属性 ,当手性引入化合物分子中后 ,就产生了手性化合物。在自然界中 ,构成生物体的许多结构单元都是单一的对映体 ,如构成蛋白质的氨基酸都是L 氨基酸 ,而组成多糖和核酸的单糖则是D 单糖。另外在许多天然植物中也能分离到许多单一对映体的手性小分子化合物
Chirality is a basic property in nature. Chiral compounds are produced when chirality is introduced into a compound molecule. In nature, many of the building blocks that make up an organism are single enantiomers. For example, the amino acids that make up a protein are L amino acids, while the monosaccharides that make up polysaccharides and nucleic acids are D monosaccharides. In addition, many single-enantiomer chiral small molecule compounds can be isolated in many natural plants
