英语文本的易读性对教材的选编、测试和英语学习具有重要意义,测量易读性的工具有多种,AntWordProfiler(AWP)是其中一个较方便实用的测量软件。本文介绍了AWP的测量原理、主要构成和使用方法,并对它自带的词族表进行了说明;在界定了与词汇有关概念的基础上,按照AWP的要求对如何自做词族表进行了逐步的讲解。最后通过实例显示了如何使用该软件测量英语文本的易读性,并以表格的形式呈现测量的结果。应用该软件可以使英语教师和学习者使用自选的词表对英语文本进行词汇方面的分析,从而获得符合自己标准的文本易读性的初步信息。 The readability of English text is important for the selection, testing and English learning of textbooks. There are many tools for measuring legibility. AntWordProfiler (AWP) is one of the more convenient and practical measurement software. This paper introduces the measurement principle, main components and usage of AWP, and describes its own word family table. On the basis of defining the concepts related to vocabulary, how to do the word family table according to the requirements of AWP A gradual explanation. Finally, an example shows how to use the software to measure the readability of English texts and present the results as a table. Application of the software allows English teachers and learners to use the vocabulary of the selected vocabulary analysis of the English text vocabulary, access to meet their own standards for easy-to-read text of the preliminary information.
