16 cases of respiratory failure (respiratory failure) in children with circulating endothelial cells (CEC) content. Results: In the acute phase of respiratory failure, the CEC was (11.81 ± 0.22) × 106 / L, the recovery was (5.17 ± 1.40) × 106 / L, and the normal control group was (4.10 ± 1.10) 09) × 106 / L, acute and convalescent and control groups were significantly different (P all <0.01). The authors believe that vascular endothelial cell (VEC) injury is involved in the occurrence and development of respiratory failure; CEC can be used as an early warning signal for therapeutic effect and prognosis of respiratory failure; further explore to protect and stabilize lung VEC from causative agents, Treatment will have a very important meaning
