The Cancer Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Final Outcomes (SEER) program is a plan for the United States National Cancer Institute to set up a Cancer Registry in the United States to report on the onset and death of various malignancies. It includes about 10% of the U.S. population and was implemented in 1973 on the basis of the third National Cancer Survey and Outcome Group plan.
