绿竹[Dendrocalamus oldhami(Munro)Kengf.]属禾本科竹亚科绿竹属,是我国南方著名的优良丛生竹种(指没有竹鞭,地下茎粗短,竹秆呈丛生状的竹子,也称合轴丛生竹)之一,主要分布在闽台、两广和浙江省平阳、瑞安、苍南等地.绿竹出笋期长,其笋形似马蹄,俗称"马蹄笋",笋味鲜美,营养丰富,肉色白,味甜松脆可口,可鲜食或制作笋干、罐头,为笋中上品.竹秆通直高大,节间长、匀称、竹壁厚,坚而韧,竹材纤维含量丰富且易于离解,是制造高、中档纸的优良用材,而且秆中层可入药,有清热
