基本上，没有水不深的事物或项目，当我们浮于水上或徘徊门槛之外时，大量信息显得如此扑朔迷离，但相反地，这又很容易激发兴趣，让我们沉迷其中。海不择细流，故能成其大。山不拒细壤，方能就其高。对铁三运动来说，同样如此。对于大部分开始练习铁三的爱好者来说，都由其中某一单项进阶而来，面对另外两项不熟悉的领域，困难的事情或许是如何打下三项全能的基础素质、在工作与家庭事务之外制订训练计划以及让自己变得高效又充满活力，当然，这要看铁三训练是否在你的生活中被调高了优先级顺序，这可能会牺牲掉一些眼睛盯着屏幕的时间，无论是电脑屏幕还是手机屏幕。下定决心，身体行动出第一步，大脑开始重新大量接收新的知识，那简直如同开启了新世界的大门。当你制订了一份八周的奥运标准铁三赛事的训练计划并彻底执行了它，那几乎可以预见到比赛结果（如果没有身體欠佳、爆胎等意外状况），因为那就是自我付出的真实映象。
