Japan’s consumption of pre-war tin (the largest consumer in Asia and fifth in the world) is close to 10,160 t / yr. According to the Japanese data, tin consumption reached nearly 9,000 tons. Due to the expansion of industrial production in Japan, the consumption in recent years will soon be more than 10,160 tons per year. The current status and future of tin industry in Japan is as follows: there are not many tin deposits in Japan and the deposits are located in southern Japan. In many centuries there is not much exploitation. Only in 1930 Japan’s tin production reached 1016 tons a year, the most mined in 1941, 2231 tons. At present, only two deposits are mined in Japan. Their total output accounts for about 160 tons of tin concentrate.
