王尔德是幸运的,30岁之前已成为名震文坛的快乐王子:王尔德又是不幸的,社会既为他催开唯美之花,又让他深陷泥淖。他在1895年的监狱生活,或许是文艺女神为挽救他所做的最后一次努力,希望他能够在狱中彻底反思,从此直面生活。而他显然也有这种想法,他的反思结果,则是他的最后一部作品《自深深处》。

The community has pushed him into a beautiful flower for him and left him in deep trouble.
