Describes a new ultra-thin color cholesteric liquid crystal display, the display of each functional layer is sequentially coated on a flexible substrate. For the first time, a shared-electrode driver was used to drive a passive matrix color-based emulsion-based display that consisted of three layers of cholesteric droplets embedded in a polymer matrix.
