December 14, 1948, Hu Shi hurriedly flew from Peking. Before leaving, he brought only a few manuscripts that dealt with Shuijingjing and his father’s spectrum. He has collected many precious collections (including books, manuscripts, letters, diaries, archives, photographs, etc.) that he has collected over the years and stayed at Beiping Flat. After Hu Shi left no return to the mainland. On June 4, 1957, Hu Shi made a will in New York City, the United States, and all the bequests were bequeathed to Peking University. Hu Shi did not think that more than half a century later, these precious collections have been artificially divided into three parties.
