石景山钢铁厂的高炉由于采用了加湿鼓风之后,使炉子能在更高的风温下顺利的进行生产,并达到好的工作指标。而提高热风炉风温对炼铁生产有着非常大的意义,并为更高湿度的加湿鼓风创造了有利条件。该厂在1955年12月份到1956年4月份这段时期中,由于全体热风炉工作人员的努力及学习了鞍钢炼铁厂的先进经验后,使热风温度显著提高:甲高炉热风炉由880℃提高到980℃;乙高炉热风炉由820℃提高到910℃;丙、丁高炉热风炉由780℃提高到840℃。
