摄影文学在艺术世界中的合法性已经为其自身审美特征及10余年坚实的发展历程所证明。现代各学科的交叉渗透、时代需要、艺术发展趋势、人审美需求的多样性等诸多因素都注定了摄影文学出现的必然性。在对摄影文学的探讨中所形成的“东方学派”给理论界带来了巨大冲击,摄影文学的出现局部更新了艺术世界格局,其在艺术各门类之间的平衡作用,尤其是在视觉文化浪潮中担负起的“拯救”文化的作用不容忽视。
