黄芩为唇形科植物黄芩Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi的干燥根,性寒味苦,是临床常用中药,具有清热燥湿、泻火解毒、止血安胎之功效。黄芩质量的优劣直接影响其疗效,需要有一个适宜的检查黄芩质量的方法。黄苓除含黄芩甙、汉黄芩甙、黄芩素、汉黄苓素、黄芩新素等黄酮类化合物外,还含有千层纸甲素,β-谷甾醇、苯甲酸、黄芩酶及氨基酸等。药理实验证实,黄酮类化合物为黄芩的有效成分。黄芩组分的含量测定方法已有文献报道。中国药典(1985)采用紫外分光光度法测定黄芩中黄芩甙的含量。我们曾用药典法多次测定黄芩中黄芩甙含量,
Astragalus membranaceus is a dry root of L. scutellariae Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi.
