罗平亚小档案:1940年生,1963年毕业于西南石油学院石油钻井专业。现任西南石油学院院长、“油气藏地质及开发工程”国家重点实验室主任、中国石油天然气集团公司油井完井技术中心主任。平亚先后主持和完成40余项部省级以上科研项目,获部省以上奖励30余项(次),出版专著10部,发表论文100余篇。先后获部省级以上表彰6次,被评为全国、四川省劳动模范,连任第六、第七届全国人大代表。石油被喻为工业的血液。而钻井泥浆,被视为石油钻井的血液。说起钻井泥浆、不能不提到泥浆研究的功臣——现任西南石油学院院长罗平亚院士;提起罗平亚,也就不能不说到石油钻井泥浆。大学毕业后,罗平业与石油钻井泥浆打了整整40年交道。40年风雨“石油”路,罗平亚水不停息,与“石油”建立了深厚的感情,“石油”不仅成为他生命的一部分,也成为他不凡人生的写照。罗平亚接触泥浆,是在中国的非常岁月里。1972年,我同第一口超深井“女基井”准备在四川开钻。利用现代钻井机具钻6000米的超深井,这在中国还是前无古人的事。当时,被列为我国第一口超深井首要技术难题的是泥浆问题。
