蚕豆落蕾、落花、落荚现象十分严重。据我们观察,一株蚕豆一般能现蕾120个以上,能开花的有70~80个,占现蕾数的65~70%。其中能结荚的20个左右,落花率高达75%;落荚一股8~10个,占结荚数的50%,而且往往有4~5个癟荚,最后单株有效荚仅5~8荚,占开花数6~9%。花、荚合计脱落率常在90%以上。因此,蚕豆目前产量水平与其生物学上形成经济产量的可能性相比,有极大的距离,可见蚕豆的增产潜力很大。嘉兴专区农科所1961年的研究,初步阐明了蚕豆开花落花、结荚落荚的一股规律;1962
