《世界文学》从本期起新辟“外国文学名著插图选登”这个栏目。我们准备每期拨出10页左右的篇幅,刊出一本外国文学名著的若干幅插图。我们之所以要这样做,除了愿为推进我国的插图艺术尽一分力之外,也有意通过对形象艺术的直观欣赏,帮助读者回味自己所读过的文学名著,或是激起他们去读这些作品的兴趣——如果过去还没能抽出时间去读的话。重视美术插图是鲁迅创办老《译文》以 From this issue, “World Literature” opens the column of “Selected Works of Foreign Literary Criticism”.
