The Central Government Offices complex in Central Hong Kong Island was built in the 1950s. It consists of three buildings east, center and west. It was once the administrative center for the British colonial government and the SAR government. The article analyzes the design features of the complex from two aspects of urban context and single building, pointing out that this is a typical case of designing modern urban architecture in Hong Kong. The West Wing is of particular importance to the building as a whole, perhaps the most challenging and interesting of the three buildings.
