石头可以作乐器演奏,海螺亦登上音乐雅堂,此并非无稽之谈。日前于中央音乐学院举办的地中海岛国——塞浦路斯的《费德罗斯·卡瓦拉利斯专场音乐会》,便使北京观众耳目一新。这场由中国文化部和塞浦路斯教育与文化部联合主办的音乐会,旨在庆祝中塞两国建交40周年。费德罗斯·卡瓦拉利斯,1950年生于塞浦路斯拉皮托斯城,他自幼热爱音乐,于纽约哥伦比亚大学获得音乐博士学位,先后于伦敦、巴黎和达姆斯塔特等城市学习现代音乐和作曲,并于印度、中国和日本等亚洲国家研究音乐。
