The United States Marine Corps has completed a trial of a new remotely piloted launch platform that keeps the shooter away from the firing line while ensuring accurate firing at infantry’s usual combat distance. The trial, conducted by the Marine Corps Operations Laboratory, was conducted during the “City Warrior” advanced combat maneuver near San Francisco from March 13-18, 1999. Trials included live-fire demonstrations, surveillance, simulated hostage rescue, usual target tracking and city operations (MOUT). Remote Rapid Launch Platform (TRAP) T-2 by the precise remote control company to invest on their own development.
