The history of Chinese figure painting has a long history. The “Dragon and Phoenix Figurines” unearthed from the Chen Chu Dashan Chu Tomb in 1949 and the “Dragon and Dragon Figure” unearthed in the 1973 Kulu Chu Tomb of Changsha are the earliest solitary pieces of Chinese figure we now know of. As early as the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Chinese figure painting had already produced and possessed the social function of “becoming enlightened, helping the bereaved, changing the spirit and measuring the gloom”. After the Qin dynasty, the Chinese figure paintings went through three stages of the Han and Tang Dynasties, the Song and Yuan dynasties, and the Ming and Qing Dynasties. They extended their debut paintings, historical story paintings, genre paintings, ladies’ paintings and portraits. However, from the “Six Dynasties to the Four Seas” Ren "works for us to create a colorful Chinese painting visual pedigree.
