体育院校普遍开设了统计学课程,由于教学计划和时数的限制,不能系统开设作为这门课程基础的教学课程(例如高等数学、线性代数、计算方法等),因此,体育统计学课程只能把大量矩阵运算化为代数运算进行讲解,占用了大量的教学学时。这使多因素分析方法在体育领域中的应用以及试验设计的教学内容不能充分展开。教学中,用计算器进行计算,不能分析大样本,仅用假想数据和小样本进行运算,常使体育统计的教学理论脱离实际。为了解决这一系列教学的难题和矛盾,为了提高体育统计教学的效益,特进行了体育统计和计算机教学结合的研究。
