专门用途英语(ESP)的教学理论在70年代后被介绍到国内以后,对国内高校的英语课程体系带来了新的理念,也引发了一系列的课程改革。在高职院校中,专门用途英语的教学很有起色,很多高校开展了专门用途英语教学改革的探索。本文以一所专门面向服务外包行业人才培养的高职院校的英语教学为例,探讨专门用途英语(服务外包英语)与整体大学英语课程体系的关系。笔者认为,专门用途英语和大学英语课程体系是有机统一的辩证关系,两者既相互促进又相互制约,只有把两者结合起来,统筹安排整个外语课程布局,协调英语课程的关系,才能保证高职英语课程教学目标的完成。
After ESP was introduced to China in the 1970s, the ESP theory has brought new ideas to the English curriculum system of domestic colleges and universities and triggered a series of curriculum reforms. In higher vocational colleges, English for special purposes teaching has been improved, many colleges and universities to carry out the exploration of English for special-purpose teaching reform. This article takes a case study of English teaching in higher vocational colleges specialized in service outsourcing industry as an example to discuss the relationship between ESP (English for service outsourcing) and the overall college English curriculum system. The author believes that ESPE is a dialectic of organic unity. The two are mutually reinforcing and restricting each other. Only by combining the two can the co-ordination of the layout of the whole foreign language and the coordination of the English curriculum be ensured. Completion of the teaching goal of vocational English course.
