A typical onset of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM) has a mild onset and its symptoms and progression are often measured in weeks as a unit of time. However, some patients in clinical progress is slow, take years to evolve into insulin-dependent, and if given appropriate treatment of pancreatic β-cell function has some protective effect, but eventually evolved into insulin-dependent. This group of patients is called Slowlg progressive insulin-de-pendent dialetes Mellilus (SPIDDM). There are many characteristics of SPIDDM in clinical manifestations, treatment and prognosis and have drawn the attention, it is necessary to be distinguished. Now integrated information, briefing is as follows.
