《全日制普通高级中学英语课程标准》提出:教学活动不应仅限于课堂,而应延伸到课堂之外的学习和生活中,课外作业就是对课堂教学的有效延伸。开放式的、个性化的、多元化的作业设计,能较好地适应不同层次的学生,有效地激发他们学习英语的积极性,培养他们语言的运用能力和语言实践创新能力。教师的教学实践表明,如果依据学生学习的实际情况和教师教学的具体内容,布置和分配作业,同时进行多元化作业设计与评价,能够有高效的满足各个阶段不同层次学生的学习需求,更主要的是能够有效地激发学生英语学习的主动性和最大限度地拓展学生的空间。
