中学语文教材中的《渔夫的故事》改编自《一千零一夜》中的《渔翁、魔鬼和四色鱼的故事》,因为接受语境和接受对象的变化,原作主题暧昧、头绪繁多、情节曲折的一面大为改观,其人民性被大大强化。故事持久的生命力,与其成长主题带来的人生启发、政治寓言所提供的价值追求、符合儿童心理的故事内蕴、超越民族文化界限的叙事美学不无相关。
