洪深(1894～1955),字伯骏,号浅哉,江苏武进(今常州)人。学生时代即爱好戏剧,在校园内从事戏剧创作和演出活动。1916年于清华大学毕业后留学美国,先在俄亥俄州立大学学习陶瓷工程,后考入哈佛大学著名戏尉教育家培克教授主持的“472工作室”,研习戏剧,同时还在波士顿表演学校学习发音、表演和舞蹈,是第一位系统地研究西方戏剧艺术的中国人。1922年回国后,曾受聘于张季直、卢寿联等人创办的中国影片制造股份有限公司,为该公司起草了“征求影戏脚本启事”,但该公司旋即解体。此后,洪深除在上海南洋兄弟烟草公司供职,在复
