黔陶硅石矿床产于中泥盆统独山组第三段之中部。矿区共分七个矿段。已勘探的半坡矿段硅石储量为特大型,未勘探区的远景更为可观。该矿矿层形态简单,产状平缓.埋藏浅,宜露采。矿石具砂屑结构,块状构造。主要矿物为石英,占96～99％,次要矿物有锆石、榍石、电气石、金红石和海绿石等。矿石平均化学成分:SiO_298.23％,Al_2O_30.42％,Fe_2O_30.6％,CaO0.03％,P_2O_30.018％。它是一个优质石英砂岩型硅石矿,其成因类型属滨海潮坪沉积石英砂岩型矿床。
Guizhou Tao silica deposit is produced in the middle part of the third section of the Dushan Formation in the Middle Devonian. The mining area is divided into seven sections. The exploration of the Banpo section of silica reserves for extra large, unexploited area prospects are more impressive. The ore is simple in shape and smooth in shape, shallow in depth and suitable in mining. Ore with sand structure, block structure. The main mineral is quartz, accounting for 96 ~ 99%, the secondary minerals are zircon, jade stone, tourmaline, rutile and glauconite and so on. The average ore chemical composition: SiO_298.23%, Al_2O_30.42%, Fe_2O_30.6%, CaO0.03%, P_2O_30.018%. It is a high-quality quartz sandstone-type silica ore, its genetic type is coastal tidal flat sedimentary quartz sandstone deposits.
