In recent years, the use of estrogen in the treatment of osteoporosis is attracting more and more attention. Estrogen-3-chloroethyl ether is an important intermediate for the synthesis of bone-oriented estrogen [1,2]. The literature [3] reported that its synthesis method is cumbersome, lengthy, low yield and poor reproducibility. In this paper, a new synthetic route, using 1,2-dichloroethane both as a solvent and as a hydrocarbon agent, tetra-n-butylammonium bromide
