The food issue has always been a serious problem that plagued Africa. At present, in sub-Saharan Africa, tens of millions of people are facing various food crises, some are short of food, some are threatened by famine and others are poorly-mannered. However, in Cameroon, what reporters have seen is a completely different picture: the market is prosperous, everything from food, vegetables, fish and fruits to adequate food supply is abundant and cheap. On weekends, some residents of neighboring countries often drove and even took a plane to Cameroon’s northern border city or port city Douala for procurement. Cameroonians are proud to call their country “a country without hunger.” Geographically, Cameroon is not a big country in Africa with an area of only 475,000 square kilometers; economically speaking, it is not an economic power in Africa, but its level of development in agriculture is at the forefront of Africa. From the 1960s to the 1980s, the growth rate of agriculture kept at 4.4%. After the 1990s, the government adopted a series of measures to develop agriculture.
