我国著名现代作家、学者和教育家吴组缃因病医治无效,于1月11日在北京逝世,享年86岁。 1月19日,人们来到八宝山与这位受人尊敬的学者沉痛告别。朴素的灵堂四周,悬挂着一幅幅挽联,张贴着一封封发自海内外的唁电唁信,这些大多都是曾经聆听过先生教诲的学生们发来的。灵堂前是北京大学中文系的挽联:“学富五车说稗声声犹在耳,文雄一代雕龙笔笔总关情”,它概括了淡泊名利的吴组缃丰硕而又光采的一生。中共中央政治局委员、北京市委书记陈希同、北
The well-known modern writer, scholar and educator in China, Wu Zuji, died of an illness at the age of 86 on January 11 in Beijing. On January 19th, people came to Babaoshan to say goodbye to the respected scholar.
