In order to eliminate the common defects existing in existing CVT system, a new compound CVT system with power split and bidirectional commutation is proposed. By combining the machine-machine, machine- Electric composite system two specific examples, elaborated on the working principle of such systems, analysis and discussion of the design and implementation of the general methods and key issues revealed its characteristics and engineering application prospects
