“拔苗助长”是带有贬义的成语,多用来比喻有些人急于求成,违反事物的发展规律,好心反而办了坏事。但是,我也听到有人用这句成语表示自谦的。2011年某出版社下属的公司请我去给新编辑讲课,中午请吃饭,陪同的有几位总监,总经理席间介绍某女士,说她是新任的编辑总监。这位年轻女士,前几年也是新编辑,入公司时听过我的课,请我审过稿,她说, “Destructive Enthusiasm ” is a derogatory idiom, and more used to describe some people are eager for success, in violation of the law of development of things, kindly but do a bad job.
