Many applications of astral trackers require very short acquisition times, as well as high accuracy and sensitivity. Tracking systems that use a photoconductive camera as a sensor have provided the acquisition speed necessary for such applications. This article discusses a number of theoretical and practical considerations involved in the use of photoconductive cameras as sensors in astral tracking systems. The article describes the structure of a typical system that includes telescopes, sensors, and electronic equipment for information processing. In the design of light-guided camera tracking system required a variety of optical and sensor parameters in the paper made a full discussion and analysis.
