为了查明牙鲆仔鱼感染疱疹病毒病的原因,作了感染实验,对水温和鱼龄对死亡率的影响进行了研究.实验是在15～25℃的水温范围内进行的,牙鲆仔鱼无论在哪一温度,都显示出很高的死亡率,但在低水温情况下,从感染此病到死亡所持续的时间要长一些.20日龄(全长9.5mm)以下的仔鱼感染率很高,23日龄(全长11.0mm)以上的仔鱼对本病毒无感染性.对其它五种海产鱼仔鱼作同样感染实验,结果对本病毒均无感染.
