普洱茶因产于云南普洱府(即今云南下关一带)而得名,是清宫中喜饮的佳茗之一。普洱茶往往被加工成五斤、三斤、一斤、四两、一两、五钱等重量不同的茶团,还有茶膏、散茶等。早在乾隆年间、普洱茶就分别用瓶、锡筒、木匣装置,每年贡到宫中。从现在故宫博物院珍藏的清代普洱茶看,同上述份量相符。历来人们认为采于谷雨前的茶为上等,普洱茶也不例外。《续云南通志稿》载:“二月间开采,蕊极细而
