Marx used the metaphor of “head and foot inversion” to show his evaluation of Hegelian dialectics and to show the revolutionary nature of his theory by reversing “inversion ”. This metaphor has both a pivotal position in the history of Marxism and has caused serious controversy. Metaphors often play a substantial role in constructing philosophical discourse and are by no means insignificant literary decorations. However, metaphorical uncertainties can cause important differences in ideology and even disputes. This kind of situation makes the philosophical research have to face the metaphor cautiously, meticulously pick its quantity and question.
