At present, it is believed that 20% of cancers are induced by viruses. In particular, the three viruses with DNA as their genetic material have a close relationship with common cancers. Hepatitis B virus can cause liver cancer; EB virus can cause lymphoma and nasopharyngeal cancer; a human papillomavirus can induce cervical cancer and other common cancers. Epidemiological studies conducted by scholars in Taiwan have shown that the risk of developing liver cancer among people living with the virus is at least 100 times that of non-viral carriers. Hepatitis B virus is considered to be the main cause of liver cancer. Also note that smoking increases the risk of lung cancer by 20%. In the early 1980s, a vaccine for the prevention of hepatitis virus infection began to be applied, thereby eliminating 90% of the viruses transmitted from mothers to infants. Scholars of Oxford University point out that one kind of prevention of EB virus
