The American Soybean Association evaluated the growth performance of Sclaenops ocellatus in offshore cages in Quanzhou, China. American redfish stocked in 6.4m3 cages, stocking density of 312.5 / m3, the experiment set up three replicates. The test fish in the cages fed the American Soybean Association marine fish species and adult puffed feed and were fed twice a day, each time feeding to fullness. During the 103-day feeding period, American red fish grew from 14 g to 232 g with an average feed conversion coefficient of 1.54: 1 and an average survival rate of 73%. The high mortality rate of red crested American fish and the strong current in the experimental sea area in the early part of the trial all required improvements in the implementation of experiments and cage structure.
