The author studied whether the use of component signals in the studio is of good quality and economically feasible. The author starts by pointing out what quality television viewers can get today, and what quality they can get with a MAC receiver, for example. The most important issue for television stations is the loss of quality in video production, as the programs usually broadcast are at least the 3rd to 5th generation video tapes. The article also pointed out that component video recorders, especially the use of metal tape recorders, has excellent performance. Finally, the article puts forward several application steps and made practical verification. In short, it is economically viable to obtain significant quality improvement using component signal technology.
