由中国数学会奥林匹克委员会主办、四 川省数学会和成都七中承办的第五届中国 西部数学奥林匹克于2005年11月3日至8 日在成都市举行． 有西部12个省、市、区派出代表队参加 了这次活动,他们是:云南、西藏、贵州、内 蒙、广西、宁夏、重庆、四川、陕西、青海、甘肃 和新疆;周边的省份山西、海南、江西以及香 港特别区派代表队参加了比赛;友好邻邦哈 萨克斯坦也派代表队参赛．共有23支代表 队,每支代表队包括领队一名,高三以下的 学生四名．
The 5th Western Mathematics Olympiad hosted by the Chinese Mathematical Society Olympic Committee, the Sichuan Mathematical Society and Chengdu Qizhong was held in Chengdu from November 3rd to 8th, 2005. A delegation of 12 provinces, cities and districts in the west participated in this event. They are: Yunnan, Tibet, Guizhou, Inner Mongolia, Guangxi, Ningxia, Chongqing, Sichuan, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Gansu, and Xinjiang; and the neighboring provinces of Shanxi, Hainan, Jiangxi and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region sent teams to participate in the competition; friendly neighbor Kazakhstan also sent teams to participate. There are a total of 23 teams. Each team includes one team leader and four senior high school students.
