Coming to China from India some 2,200 years ago, over the centu- ries Buddhism evolved here with ever-greater vitality, and today the faith and philosophy is securely interwoven within the vast cul- tural tapestry that is this nation. The Second World Buddhist Fo- rum (WBF), opening on March 28, 2009, in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, and wrapping up on April 1, in Taipei City, Taiwan, served as a grand international stage upon which was featured the beauty and thought of Buddhism in China.
