Each time a student exams, Metropolitan will make an assessment of their test scores: how many questions can be about how many points, and then add up these scores, you get an estimate of the total score. When we go to the grain shop to buy rice, if every kilogram of rice needs 0.316 yuan, if we buy 20 kilograms of rice, just 6.40 yuan is enough. People are accustomed to think that 0.316 ≈ 0.32, then, 20 kg of rice required money can be estimated immediately 0.32 × 20 = 6.40 (yuan). Such a large number of examples are endless, such an estimation process we call estimation.
