At present, many liberal arts journals in colleges and universities appear serious problems of existence. Prevalent: ① too few orders. Nearly a dozen arts and culture journals in one province did not make any breakthroughs in the three major stems, most of which were within a thousand and some as few as 150-60. ② very poor efficiency. Economically without exception, all the country by the loss of subsidies. Social benefits are also less effective and less than ideal. ③ a single composition, small circle, mostly teachers in the school. ④ readers narrow surface. According to the survey, readers are limited to copywriters and a handful of teachers. We have conducted a survey in two classes in the third year of the Chinese department of a university. We found that only two out of the hundreds of students read articles in the liberal arts journal of the university. More than half of the students did not know that their school did a Journal of Liberal Arts. The formation of such a situation undoubtedly has many kinds of factors, but it is of the utmost importance to understand the nature of university journals and readers’ concepts.
