On the evening of September 30, the State Council will hold a grand National Day reception in the Great Hall of the People. On the morning of October 1, Beijing’s Tiananmen Square will hold a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China in the capital. Hu Jintao, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, chairman of the Central Military Commission and chairman of the Central Military Commission, will make an important speech and hold a grand parade and mass procession. The parade will focus on demonstrating the 60 years since the founding of New China, especially the reforms
