Incidence of renal cell carcinoma refers to the absence of any symptoms or signs related to kidney cancer. During a regular physical examination or kidney cancer that was accidentally discovered during an examination or surgery for other diseases, the authors reviewed 116 cases of incident renal cancer in 116 medical institutions in Japan from 1980 to 1988. The data show that it has a rapidly increasing trend. In 1980, there were only 20 cases.
