Bachman理论强调语言的社会功能,认为语言学测试应注重考查应试者的语言应用能力,即在特定的情景中准确使用语言顺畅交换信息的能力。作为大学英语教师,需要认真研究其语言理论与当前教学改革要求的联系,思考如何将其理论应用于教学实践,解决语言教学中的各种问题,从而提高学生的语言交际能力。
Bachman’s theory emphasizes the social function of language and holds that linguistic testing should focus on examining candidate’s ability of language application, that is, the ability to accurately use language in a given situation to exchange information smoothly. As a college English teacher, he needs to carefully study the relationship between his theory of language and the requirements of current teaching reform, how to apply his theory to teaching practice, and to solve various problems in language teaching so as to improve his ability of language communication.
