The China-Pakistan Young Scientist Forum, cosponsored by the CPAFFC and the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), was held at the China International Conference Center for Science and Technology on April 17. Feng Zuoku, Vice President of the CPAFFC, Xu Yanhao, a member of the CAST Secretariat, and Zahoor Ahmed, Charge d’Affaires of the Pakistani Embassy in China, addressed the opening ceremony.
The 100-odd participants included young specialists from Pakistan, Pakistani students studying in China, and young science workers from North China Electric Power University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. At the forum, with the theme of “A Bright Future Together—Science, Society and Progress”, they had extensive exchanges of their experience in areas such as network security, biomass power generation, the “intelligrid” concept and development of wireless networks. The forum played a constructive role in enabling the Chinese and Pakistani young science workers to learn from each other, deepen understanding and establish friendship.
